Homework Helper: EBSCOhost

Every student has to write papers using a variety of sources. When you need magazine and/or newspaper articles, the Oak Lawn Public Library provides a handy "homework helper" -- EBSCOhost Web.

EBSCOhost is an electronic database that allows you to look up magazine and newspaper articles on a wide range of subjects. You can search by a particular magazine or newspaper. You can search within a particular range of years; for example, if you only want to know what was published on the subject between 2006 and 2008, you can limit your search to those years.

EBSCOhost can also give you the full text from reference books, original documents, biographies, and a wide range of health and technology journals. It even has a collection of photos, maps, and flags.
Where do I find it? EBSCOhost is only available at the library. You can access it from any of our database computers, or from any Internet station through our website. Just find the menu item "Library Resources," then "Indexes and Databases." Use the drop-down menu to find "Basic Reference Resources" or "All Indexes," then scroll down until you find "EBSCOhost MasterFILE Premier."
